I've been asked to get some art works for our office. Is this the sort of thing you do?

How do I know that?

How many spaces do you want to fill - or how many rooms i.e. Reception, Board Room, Break Out Room, Internal Offices etc?

Ok, that's fine. We can send an interior Designer to your offices. She can help you decide on what sort of paintings or prints to have. She will measure up and then tell you the exact size of art work you need in each space.

How do I know what to chose?

If you know the sort of art works you would like - bright, colourful, soft, sophisticated. Photographs, original abstract paintings. Or have been told by someone what sort of art works to get. Tell us. We will bring a portfolio of those sort of works with us.

That's fine. That's what the Interior Designer can help you with..

How does she decide?

With her years of knowledge! She will look at the space, the furnishings that are in the space, the colour of the carpets, soft furnishings and the walls. She will look at the services and products you are supplying. She will ask you what sort of 'ambience' or look are you trying to achieve. i.e modern, very modern, cool, calm, sophisticated, stunning, soft, fun etc. She will realise you want the look to change to some degree in every space. But she will listen to you and assess the space.

Then What?

She will take photographs of the space(s) and then superimpose images of selected art works on to the space(s). She will give you quite a few options.

What if I don't like any of the options?

This has never happened! You will receive a variety of different options and you will probably like all of them!

How do I know whether to chose paintings or prints or what medium to chose - i.e canvas, acrylic, etc?

This will often depend on your budget. Most people say our prints look like paintings (the quality is so good). The Designer will bring with her samples of prints on canvas, acrylic and original paintings so you can see how they look.

What happens if we don't have a car park?

Our Designers generally drive to their destinations in order for them to bring samples but if you do not have a car park or loading bay, they can not bring samples. They could bring very small samples but this is a bit pointless. The Interior Designer can stil come to your space but can not bring samples. Look here also for a different service which could assist you

How will I know if the quality of your art works are excellent?

By looking at our samples. if you can't do that, let us tell you we supply to some Major Inernational companies and International Restaurants. These sort of companies only use the best.

How long can I rent for?

12 months is the long term minimum but we have companies renting on a 3-5 year basis as well. Prices are lower if you rent for a longer period.

What happens if the Interior Designer comes to see us and we change our mind about renting or buying art works?

Please be absolutely certain you require art works before you call out our Interior Designers.

Yes, but will you charge us for the Designer's services if we fail to rent or buy?

If you have to ask that question, we suggest you do not contact us. Our services are provided in good faith and our Interior Designers work 6-7 days a week. It's very annoying when they realise someone is just using their expertise with no intention of renting or purchasing art works.

How long will it take for us to get our art works?

Generally 7-10 days for prints. If we commission an artist, or create paintings in the size you require, this will take longer.

How much longer?

Commissioning original paintings can take as long as 3 months for oil paintings from some of our artists. However, acrylic paintings usually take 7-14 days.

Will you hang the art works?

Yes, we have professional installers who work to Health and Safety standards and we can supply risk and method statements.

Supposing something happens to the art works when they are on our walls - they get damaged or stolen?

Insurance of art works on your premises are your responsibility. In the case of theft you must inform the police and us immediately.

I only want to rent one large painting - can an Interior Designer call?

Yes, but we will make a small charge.

How else can I decide?

Where can I chose paintings or prints?

There are some examples on this web site but we have over 8,000 images, so you can tell us the sort of thing you require and we can email you more images. Or we can set up a Portfolio online which you can access from your computer.

We want a painting in a specific size - can you do this?

Yes, find a print or painting you want - from this web site - or ask us for some more images - and we will paint the art work in the size you require.

Can you copy famous paintings?

Yes, our artists are so well trained and skilled that they can paint any art work.

Is there any copyright restrictions on copying paintings?

Well obviously we don't copy living artists. It is not illegal to copy any famous painting as long as you do not put the original artist's name on the art work.

We want a painting commissioned - that is we know the artist we want but we want them to create a painting just for us.

No problem, we can organise the commission for you.

We want a painting in a particular style. Can your artists provide this?

Yes, our artists are diverse and particularly talented - they can paint in any style.

If we rent the painting, can it be replaced every few months

Only if you have 5 art works or more

How do we chose new art works?

When you become one our clients, we give you exclusive acess to our Portfolio from which you chose, every four months.

If we rent the painting but then want to buy it - can we do that?

Yes, we often find clients require to buy the painting after the rental period. 30% of the rental price is deducted from the selling price.

How do we know the selling price?

When we supply paintings or prints for rental, we always give you the sales price of each art work. For insurance purposes.

Even if we commission a painting - can it still be rented?

Yes, as long as it is not 'personalised' for your space - i.e with your logo, or images specific to yourselves.

What is the biggest painting you can do?

We have supplied complete wall works - so there is no limit in size

Do you make your own stretchers?

Yes, most of our artists make their own stretchers and they only use the very best professional paints.

What are the prices of your paintings?

Because we have artists who are newly graduated right through to Royal College of Art graduates we can supply paintings to your budget.

Is a painting by a new graduate not as good as someone else?

Not at all!! Because they are not famous, their prices are very good but the paintings are always professional. A painting by a new graduate is often a great investment.

Can we come and see the artist?

Of course, you can come to the Studio any time to meet our artists. Please telephone 0118 9724502 to make an appointment.

What happens if we commission a painting and don't like it?

This has never happened. You will be familiar with the artist's style and the quality will be the best, so we've never had a returned commission .

Do you make many commissions?

We make thousands of commissions because we are excellent at making sure you get paintings that suit your space.

Why don't you list the names of your clients?

We show you images of the art works placed in our client's premises. We do not have to use the names of our clients to illustrate the suitability and originality of our art works. Our clients are very important to us and we respect their privacy.

Will you list our name?

Only if you ask us to.

How do you hang your paintings?

Very carefully! We can put security fixings on paintings if necessary - or if they are in high risk areas - public spaces etc. Security fixings are not visible.

Do you provide paintings to sell in our space?

We can occassionaly provide paintings for sale - instead of rental but this is quite rare.

Why would I come to you instead of direct to an artist?

We provide a full art service. Art works are not just about decoration. In fact they can look awful if they are not the right size, or colour or form. We want your spaces to look suitable for your products/services and the environment. So we can help you to get it right. We also guarantee you a service and time scale. Artists are creative not practical!

Why would I want art works?

Art works have been scientifically proven to reduce tension, heart rate and sick days. A survey revealed that 87% of employees said if their work space had art works then they felt they were being valued by their employer. They also create a great impression to your clients. If clients see paintings in your offices, it gives them a feeling that you care about your staff and your premises. Art works can also brand your space.

What is Psychology of Colour and why bother?

Ok! This is not some airy fairy new age concept! It has been scientifically proven that colour works on your subconscious in various ways. It's not as easy as saying that Red is a warm, sociable colour - just a red painting could look dreadful and aggressive. So it is important to balance the colour with other colours - in the painting or print - and also with the placements of other art works.

Are your prints available anywere else?

No, our images are exclusive to us and not available from anyone else.

Can you really print on anything?

Anything sensible - we don't do mugs and tee shirts - or pens or mousemats!

What is the largest you can print?

Up to 3 metres one side - any length the other

How long does it take?

This depends on what size, what medium and how busy we are - but generally 7-10 days.

Why should we use you?

Because the quality is the very best, the prices are unbeatable and our service is attentive, professional and efficient.

Why do we have to rent at least 5 art works - if we want them changed every few months

This is obviously a feasibility study! We have so many clients that have their art works changed regularly that it is not feasible or prudent to travel to say Birmingham to change one painting.

Would you put prints in every room of our building?

Yes, we can do that - it's better that way. The space gets a sense of uniformity and elegance and continuity. We can also offer you excellent rates on large orders.

Can you really supply anything?

Yes, within reason. There are some picture libraries that supply cityscapes and similar photos. We are an art studio and do not have any interest in run of the mill photographs. We supply photographs but they are 'art' photographs.
